Time to Reflect and Grow

After a long, harsh dark winter, comes the buds and finally, the blossoms! We timed it just right. The orchards are only in full bloom about four days a year and my dreams all came true. We gathered together and celebrated out in the orchards in full bloom at Royal Farms. I invited, Father Peter, the local priest, to join us and bless the blossoms – a lovely intersection of sacred and beauty.

I launched The Blessing of Blossoms collection and book and your heartfelt love of each piece just took my breath away! Nothing is more amazing than watching people connect with what I created. Tears of love and joy were shed by several of us. The three signature large pieces found their homes right away along with several of the smaller works and lots of books.

There are a couple of 18x18” left and several of the tiny ones in natural frames. I’ll be loading them up on the website by next week and they will be available for sale. And this palette has lingered. I’ve got a few more bloom-like paintings I’m working on currently and they’ll be available soon.

The book. The book is beautifully printed and very true to the colors from this collection. I got the first box just a couple hours before the show and I was thrilled to see them! The rest made their way to me this week so I shipped all the preorders. If you haven’t had a chance yet, take a look at this beautiful book on my website.

Three shows with three separate collections in 3 months was BEYOND aggressive, and I’ve learned SO MUCH from all of you! I’m truly looking forward to reflecting on what I’ve learned and making sure I implement everything I’ve learned so far.

I’ve painted about 45 or so paintings since January. Never have I done so many in such a short time and it has fueled me all the more. I’m loving what I’m painting and my artistic voice is growing stronger and more recognizable by the day. I can feel my boundaries expanding and clearly I’ve left my comfort zone. I’m painting both bigger and smaller and I’m more driven to explore the power of connecting with you through art than ever.

My art shows have a very unique vibe — ask ANYONE who has been to one of my collection celebrations. We focused on creating full sensory experiences and so many of you have participated in these. I cannot thank you enough for sharing in these celebrations with me.

You all are showing me what’s important to you and what you want to see and hear from me. As you have ideas, please don’t hesitate to share them with me whether it’s for these notes  or for a show or a collection or even about my art in general. What does it mean to you to buy fine art and live with it in your home or office? How else do you want to experience art with me? What can I bring to that experience for you? It’s one thing for me to express myself through the art, but that’s not complete until you experience it with me. It takes both of us.
